Center for Public Service
No other major research university has committed to integrating public service into the curriculum and culture on the scale that we have at Tulane University. Each year, Tulane students work in and with communities all over the world to the tune of 450,000+ hours of community-engaged work. The Center for Public Service is charged with supporting many of these by uniting academics and action, classroom and communities through which students, faculty and community partners dedicate themselves to the transformation of civic life.
Why are donations necessary?
Each year, the Center for Public Service works with every undergraduate college at the university to support over 300 service-learning courses and 500 student interns. Through both academic and development programming, we engage with over 600 community partners in the New Orleans area and around the country.

We work with our various student leadership and student organizations to provide over $35,000 in scholarships, awards and grants for students interested in community engagement. With your support, these students can continue making a difference with our community.
