#GiveGreenTU and support the School of Liberal Arts at Tulane University!
The School of Liberal Arts is focused on the future of the liberal arts and the resources needed for us to lead that charge.
School of Liberal Arts
We are the largest undergraduate college at Tulane University, with 35+ academic departments and interdisciplinary programs spanning the humanities, the social sciences and the fine & performing arts.
Beyond the classroom, SLA also houses several allied centers and programs, such as the Summer Lyric Theatre and Shakespeare Festival at Tulane University, the Carroll Gallery and the Middle American Research Institute (M.A.R.I.) which is celebrating its centennial year.
We’re growth-minded and future-focused, seeking opportunities for innovative research, curricular expansion and facilities improvements for our students, faculty and community partners.
Thank you for supporting the growth of the School of Liberal Arts and its breadth of disciplines, both in New Orleans and around the world.
How are donations used?
Looking ahead, we will continue to dedicate the money we raise to fund a range of priorities, including:
- Programming and events focused on students
- Hiring new faculty in areas such as Political Economy and Environmental Studies
- Funding for time-sensitive research proposals and grant-related expenses
- Expanding the curriculum in growing majors like Communication and Music
- Enhancing outreach and engagement initiatives aimed at our tens of thousands of alumni
Why are donations necessary?
Funds from Give Green support us in several ongoing priorities every year, from conducting national recruitment searches that bring top faculty talent to our halls, to expanding our programming and educational events for students and community members alike. For example, donations directly benefitted the growth of interdisciplinary programs such as Digital Media Practices and Environmental Studies and curricular offerings from our Strategy, Leadership & Analytics Minor (SLAM) — the most popular minor at Tulane!
