The Tulane School of Professional Advancement (SoPA) aims to transform lives through industry-aligned undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs. Our mission is to empower a diverse student population in New Orleans and beyond, providing opportunities that change careers and uplift communities. Our programs are designed to be directly relevant to career aspirations, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to excel in their professions.
Funds support SoPA in 5 areas:
1. Endowed and current use scholarships for students to defray tuition expenses
2. The Student Opportunity Fund, designed to meet the immediate needs of students and address emerging challenges outside of tuition
3. Student success support, including student success coaches
4. Faculty support, including faculty development and applied research
5. College in Prison Program scholarships for released students to continue their education at Tulane SoPA

With 12 bachelor’s degrees, nine master’s degrees and more than 25 certificates Tulane SoPA educates students who are ready to tackle real-world problems.
