This fund can be used to help students experiencing natural disasters, emergency travel and any other unexpected cost that affects a student’s academic experience.
Why are my donations necessary?
The college experience, like life, can be unpredictable. We never know when disaster might strike. And for students facing economic limitations, emergencies can be especially debilitating. The Student Emergency Aid and Assistance Fund is a flexible resource that can be rapidly mobilized to provide support for students in times of crisis. This emergency support, which allows students to continue their academic careers at Tulane, could mean the difference between receiving a college degree and being forced to drop out.
Every gift makes a difference.
Donations are applied to students who have unanticipated personal difficulties that impose severe financial problems. The emergency fund is flexible enough to be used for a wide variety of reasons, such as flying a student home after a family member’s death, ensuring students have enough food to eat, or assisting in the case of a natural disaster. The fund can provide critical financial aid for students and families whose economic situations change unexpectedly.
